ABOUT ME...

Hi ! I'm Joe Cairney, unless you are my mum or my wife (and I'm in trouble), then I am Joseph Cairney.

I was born in Scotland 42 years ago. I lived in Faifley, Clydebank until I was 18 then I moved to Castlehill, Dumbarton. There I stayed until I was 28 and moved over here to Ontario, Canada.

I currently reside in the City of Brampton with my wife, three daughters, a son, a cat and a dog. I'm employed with the City of Mississauga as an Operations Supervisor with Corporate Security.

Back in Scotland I was a Tradesman in a Naval Shipyard and then changed careers and became a Firefighter, (or Fireman as we are called back home).

I write poetry mainly for my own enjoyment, but I get a huge kick out of it when others derive some pleasure from what I have written. I find it an excellent way to express what's on my mind, or as an escape from this reality. If you have any feeback whatsoever about my poetry, please drop me a line.
