The Poetry of Geoffrey Benjamin Chew...
BLUE
I sit here smoking cigarettes
waiting for an answer,
slowly sipping tepid coffee
all I get is cancer.
Sleep another sixteen hours
up for thirty-four,
out the door at two a.m.
boredom hits the core.
Loves' been a disaster
sick of all the pain,
crave that three month high
but then rest just 'aint the same.
Self pity flows like water
turning into dust,
this brain of mine sits dormant
while my grin begins to rust.
