Quest
I look upon the land before me and see not my quest.
Masked in illusion and silence is my hope, hope of my soul.
Lost am I in a realm without light, without guides.
I look upon the land before me and see not my friends.
I feel their presence lingering in the fading memory of my mind.
Before me I wish to see the memory fresh and alive.
I seek in the land before me a task lasting.
Masked my desire be.
Need I to know my calling, my claim.
I feel the wind call, cry and weep along with my own.
Sorrow of mine binds with this whispering cry.
Sorrow turns to hope, hope lost in a sea of everlasting silence.
To be this can not, so I quest further into the land before me.
