About the artist........
Bobby Silliman....
Being born in Texas and growing up in Colorado, Wyoming, New Mexico and
Arizona was a Godsend to me as there was always something new and exciting
to draw and paint. My mother was an accomplished artist and tutored me in
watercolors and pen and ink. While attending college in Tucson, Arizona in the
mid 70's, I had several successful "One Man Shows" showcasing my watercolor
paintings. Many of my paintings were purchased, but one painting
was purchased and published as the cover for a book in 1976.

Always interested in Native American history, I started compiling a substantial file of hand sketches of stone petroglyphs. Many years later, I dusted off these sketches and developed a technique that allowed me to re-create many of these images onto stone in a very realistic manner. Although each work is unique and no two will ever be exactly the same, I can and do, replicate any motif onto another stone.
I offer the buyer several methods to display their hand-crafted works of art. Most
pieces can be wall mounted, displayed on an easel or placed in the ground to
accent rock gardens, cactus beds, water fountains or flower beds. My inventory
of completed work is generally twenty pieces ranging in size from small to extra
large and I enjoy doing custom orders for people. New to my line of stone petroglyph reproductions is my "3-D" creations. These pieces are spectacular because the petroglyphic images completely wrap around the smooth, large size river pebbles . This gives the viewer a different image to look at as they walk past it. These are excellent for accenting cascading waterfalls or fountains! I will be offering a wide variety of sizes and motifs in this Online Gallery.
