| Bonnie Everett-Hawkes has been drawing, designing and creating since she was old enough to hold a pencil. She comes from a family endowed with artists,writers,and composers, many who have graced the pages of American history. She is a Graphic Designer, Illustrator and Photographer. She specializes in illustration and portrait drawing and works in a variety of styles and mediums. Her works reflect a wide range of talent that is skillful, insightful and completely professional. She is inspired by nature, but looks for ideas in the world around her, be it a thrift store, flea market, library or person she meets. |  |
Ever since she was a tiny child her dream was to illustrate children's books. She has been professionally illustrating books since 1975 when her first author illustrated book was published. She is a honors graduate of The Art Institute of Dallas Texas. Following her passion, Bonnie has illustrated many books in several categories, including an emergent reader series for children for print and Ebook publishers. She is a proud member of The Society of Children's Book Writer's and Illustrator's and the American Society of Portrait Artists.
Her work has been shown all over the world and commissioned by churches, businesses, and representatives of foreign countries. She was born the 7th child in a family of 8 talented kids and raised in southern California. She now lives with her husband in Georgia, on a small farm complete with chickens, horses, Dixie and Bill, an old cow dog named Joe, a boxer, Magnolia and Peanut, a Chihuahua who believes she really is a dog.
