ABOUT ME......

"You're going to be somebody someday " is what my Grandmother said to me as a child growing up. My Grandmother has always been my mentor and guild through life.
At age 12 I meet Claire Peller " Where's The Beef Lady" and at age 16 I was dressed as Wendy (Wendy's Old Fashion Hamburgers) and had publicly pictures taken with R. David Thomas (Founder of Wendy's).

My Father had a small franchise of Wendy's and that's how I got introduced to those Interesting people. When I was in 9th grade at Hamden high school In Connecticut I was a classmate with Dwayne Johnson (The Rock). At age 25 I took modeling and acting lessons in West Palm Beach Fl. I have done small acting skits for a Baptist Church in West Palm Beach Fl. I love acting and I hope that someday I could have my own TV show on HGTV.
At age 28 I moved to Rouses Point, New York where I worked in a nursing Home as an Activity Aide. I worked there for about a year until I fell ill. I was teaching exercise and arts and crafts to the residents there.
At age 29 I moved to Plattsburgh, NY with my three children. I now reside in Plattsburgh with my three children and soon to be husband and stepson.
I started to work with Papier Mache in July of 2001 because I had seen a large giraffe at pier1 Imports and was inspired to make one of my own. I had finished my giraffe in October of 2001. In May of 2002 I started to Papier Mache again because my 8 year old son had a school project on animal habitat. From that point I was hooked and I can't keep away from it.
In June of 2003 I spoke to The Council on the Arts for Clinton County (COACC) and they loved My work. The COACC were having a showing for the Visual Artist Network so I contacted them and I joined their group. My first show was on July 4th 2002 at The COACC with The Visual Artist Network. I will be having my own show at The COACC in March 2003. I also have joined the North Country Cultural Art Center where I have two pieces in their members show.
I have always loved arts and crafts ever since I was a young child. I hope to be known someday for my work. I believe that you can do anything you put your mind to all you have to do is preserver.
